Lets Talk Brushes..

One of the most important parts of your makeup bag should absolutely and definitely be your makeup brushes.

You wouldn’t expect an artist to paint a beautiful picture with brushes that didn’t achieve the outcome they were looking for..

Applying makeup is no different. The right brushes will do the work for you, it will give you control and it will place down products with different levels of intensity.

Choosing the right size of brushes is also extremely important. Using a huge fluffy brush for a smaller or hooded eye is not going to give you the control you need and is going to disperse the product in places where you don’t want it. If your eyes are larger or more deep set, you can use slightly larger brushes

As you move through the tutorials, I will be talking about each of the brushes I use and all will be linked. I will be explaining why I’m using them and how I get the most out of them, however if you need new brushes from the outset, below are a few of my favourites and will get you started.

Don’t forget if you’re new to using brushes, it will take time to get used to them, applying different levels of pressure and even how to hold them. Be patient with yourself, keep practicing, don’t give up. You will get there, promise.
